Love Her Or Lose Her by Tessa Bailey - A Book Review
Hi guys, today we'll be discussing Tessa Bailey's latest in the Hot And Hammered Series, Love Her or Lose Her. As usual, we start with a brief disclaimer. The views presented in this post are 100% my own and are not intended to sway you in any way against or towards any particular direction. This is simply my honest thoughts of the book. Now let’s dive into the actual review.
One of Oprah Magazine's 21 Romance Novels That Are Set to Be the Best of 2020 + Marie Claire's Best New Books of 2020
New York Times bestselling author Tessa Bailey returns with a unique, sexy romantic comedy about a young married couple whose rocky relationship needs a serious renovation...
Rosie and Dominic Vega are the perfect couple: high school sweethearts, best friends, madly in love. Well, they used to be anyway. Now Rosie’s lucky to get a caveman grunt from the ex-soldier every time she walks in the door. Dom is faithful and a great provider, but the man she fell in love with ten years ago is nowhere to be found. When her girlfriends encourage Rosie to demand more out of life and pursue her dream of opening a restaurant, she decides to demand more out of love, too. Three words: marriage boot camp.
Never in a million years did Rosie believe her stoic, too-manly-to-emote husband would actually agree to relationship rehab with a weed-smoking hippie. Dom talking about feelings? Sitting on pillows? Communing with nature? Learning love languages? Nope. But to her surprise, he’s all in, and it forces her to admit her own role in their cracked foundation. As they complete one ridiculous—yet surprisingly helpful—assignment after another, their remodeled relationship gets stronger than ever. Except just as they’re getting back on track, Rosie discovers Dom has a secret... and it could demolish everything.

Rating - 4 Stars
This book was just what I needed. I love the fresh approach Bailey took by introducing a section in the Romance genre that often gets overlooked. Sure, falling in love is entertaining to watch. Following a couple, while they fight to maintain that spark for over a decade, however, is even better if done right.
This novel came pretty close to checking a lot of the markers for me in relatability as it tackled some of the everyday issues couples battle within a marriage. It was a breath of fresh air seeing these topics explored, and I appreciated the fact that we were able to see Rosie and Dominic rediscover their attraction to one another on the page.
The issue I had with the novel, however, was that I struggled to believe the 'love' they said they shared at some points of the story. The sexual attraction between them was evident on every page, but their relationship fell flat forme without the sex at some points.
That being said, however, the novel was very well written. Bailey nailed the pacing throughout the story, which kept it an entertaining read to the very last page. So for me, it's a solid 4 stars.
